From the chill of a long walk home to the apprehension settled in our bones as the summer leaves us for good, premonition is the foreboding feeling of approach – something’s coming, something’s going, but either way something is happening. Let’s talk about the jitters, tremors and excitement of what’s about to happen in your life. Before, during and after; the fever, the flurry and the frenzy.
Share your thoughts on this prompt with us in whatever medium you like. Whether it be a response in a photograph, a painting, a short story, a poem, an article, a song, a video, or anything else.
Send submissions, or any questions, to shreddedmag@gmail.com. Submissions for Oct. 1 due by Friday, Sept. 29 at midnight.

“Let’s Talk” is a monthly prompt and response series filled with submissions from YOU, dear reader. Each month we’ll feature a new themed prompt in which you can submit any medium of artwork, literature, or whatever else pops into your mind.
“Let’s Talk” began out of a desire to start conversations around relevant and interesting topics. Shredded knows how important it is to be involved in community discussion, and for young artists to experience a wealth of creative and diverse responses to the same idea.
On the 1st of every month, we will publish the responses from the prompt under the “Let’s Talk” tab at the top of our homepage. We will also announce the prompt for next month at this time. Submissions will always be due a few days before the 1st of every month, and are no more than 600 words. So, let’s talk!
