Art for the People: FTP's December Showcase

  • Experimental Station 6100 South Blackstone Avenue Chicago, IL, 60637 United States (map)

"For the People Artists Collective will be 1 year old this December! Come celebrate with our artists, cultural workers, organizers, and activists who will be vending their brilliant work. We will also be showcasing some of the work we've created throughout our first year, including art from #ByeAnita, #ShutDownChi, #RememeberRekia, #StopITOA, and more.

Experimental Station is an independent cultural infrastructure on the South Side of Chicago. It is home to the 61st Street Farmers Market, Blackstone Bicycle Works, City Bureau, South Side Weekly, and The Invisible Institute

Build Coffee is a new coffee shop within the Experimental Station, forging a shop for artists and activists and journalists, everybody from kids at the elementary school next door to neighbors in the surrounding blocks to grad students just north of the ES center.

For the People Artists Collective is a radical squad of Black artists and artists of color. As artists who organize, it is our duty to create work that uplifts and projects struggle, resistance, liberation, and survival within and for our marginalized communities and movements in our city and our world."
